Souljourning for Truth

I am excited! Planning for the trip is coming along well. I am on an ancestor retreat this weekend with Deep Time Liberation . . . a healing journey. Today was good. I am looking forward to the rest of the journey. I am sorry though that I will miss all of the Olokun Rising Ritual this weekend.

Ava and I went to the beach to take photos Wednesday afternoon, evening. The mosquitoes were out and I got eaten alive. I am still itching. However, the photos were nice. Tonight the bugs were flying into my mouth as I rode my bike. I felt like a windshield, without the windshield. I might have to wear the cover shield to keep the bugs away.

Today I rode over to the base and the new Bay Trail is open along with a really nice pier seating with a view of San Francisco and the Bay and the Port.

I got my crown and staff from Kristine Mays earlier Wednesday afternoon. I was trying to figure out how to wear it. Ava didn't see the word TRUTH in the wiring. It is growing on me. I've never had a metal crown before. It is heavy.

I have almost completed "Sojourner Truth: Slave, Prophet, Legend" (1993, 1995), by Carleton Mabee with Susan Mabee Newhouse (his daughter). The SUNY New Paltz professor died not too long ago. It would have been nice to meet him. The Sojourner Truth library is there too. I am looking forward to visiting it.
